Abstract

164,219. Stein, S. J. May 10, 1920. Tread bands, projections, and surfaces.-A detachable tread band consists of hinged plates, having non-skid projections 11 and flanged edges 12, certain of the joints being formed by tubular edges 15 connected by staples 16. Attachmentchains 19 are threaded through the closed and hooked ends 17, 18 of the staples as shown. The chains are secured to the felloe B by flat-headed set-screws 21 which are given a quarter-turn to free the chains.
