Abstract

1,065,274. Grit distributers. D. EJNARSSON. July 18, 1964, No. 29629/64. Heading A1D. A sand or like material distributing apparatus comprises road wheels 4, a hopper 1 having an outlet aperture 2 extending transversely of the apparatus, and an eccentric 11 driven from one of the road wheels by a chain 10, which eccentric is conected to a sieve 12 located above the outlet aperture. A sheet 14 of flexible material e.g. of rubber 14 is connected to one side of the hopper, the lower portion 15 of which side is connected to the eccentric for vibration thereby. The opposed side of the hopper has a flexible sheet 9 thereon the upper edge of which is connected to the sieve such that it may vibrate therewith, and the lower portion of that side comprises an angle rail 8 adjustable through a system of levers, by a lever 6 to control the size of the outlet aperture. When detached from a towing vehicle, a foot 17 supports the apparatus. A studded axle 16, may be slipped over the road wheel axles 3, such that material after passing through the sieve may be broken up further.
