Abstract

A self-propelled vehicle comprises a frame 20 consisting of a forward portion 64 and a rearward portion 66 joined by vertical members 70, 72, such that there is space for an engine 30 which is drivingly connected to two wheels 26 at the rear and there is a wheel 32 at the forward end, there being steering means connected to wheel 32 and controllable from the forward portion 64. A cab 22 is mounted on the forward portion and a fertilizer container 24 on the rearward portion. A fertilizer applying means 40 includes collapsible wings 42 provided with spaced nozzles. The vehicle has a brake system which includes conventional shoe-type brakes in rear wheel assemblies 28 and has a disc brake in parallel with them. The shoe-type brakes are booster operated.
