Abstract

1,061,664. Stud and socket fastenings; releasable fastenings. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Aug. 6, 1965 [Aug. 11, 1964], No. 33759/65. Headings E2A and E2B. In a fastening arrangement comprising fastening members 7 and a supporting plate 5 for fastening a component 1 on to the plate, each fastening member 7 comprises a body part 9 having a hook-shaped part 3 on a first side adapted to bear against a lower surface of the supporting plate 5 when the body part 9 of each member is inserted in an aperture 11 on the supporting plate, the fastening members being adapted to support the component between them and having a projection 15 on at least one of the sides other than the first side wherein the projection bears upon an upper surface of the supporting plate 5. As shown in which the fastening members are made of rubber like material the ends of the component 1 are located on projections 17 on each of a pair of fastening members and are retained by hook-shaped parts 21. In another arrangement Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), each fastening member is slotted to receive a tongue at each end of the component.
