Abstract

1,218,052. Spring clips. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. 6 June, 1968, No. 26938/68. Heading E2B. A clip for securing an electrical connector 11 within a slot 31 in a mounting panel 30 comprises a rectangular plate from one edge of which a first flap 26 extends, the flap being intended to engage the front surface of the panel, a second flap 24 which extends from one part of the edge of a rectangular hole 21 in the plate and which is intended to be disposed on the underside of the panel and two arms 27 on opposite sides of the plate which arms extend from the plate at an acute angle thereto towards the two flaps and which in use lodge against the back of the panel the hole 21 being intended to engage a boss 10 on the end face of the connector and the second flap having a lug 25 for engaging the boss so that the boss is disposed between the end of the lug and the opposite edge of the hole from that from which the second flap extends. As shown two of the clips are used to secure the connector in place the clips being disposed at opposite ends of the slot and each engaging an individual boss.
