Abstract

1517823 Stud fastening MACKAY SILENTRUBA PRODUCTS PTY Ltd 9 June 1976 [11 June 1975] 23940/76 Heading E2B A fastener for securing two or more components e.g. boards in spaced apart relationship comprises a resilient waisted body 4 having e.g. a circular section, and having at least two axially spaced circumferential recesses 5, 6 formed therein which are adapted to receive the edge of a respective aperture 7, 8 in each component 2, 3. Aperture 7 and respective recess 5 are of substantially larger diameter than aperture 8 and recess 6 for ease of installation. The fastener has a tapered portion 10 and may be provided with an extension 11 to facilitate installation.
