Abstract

The magnets (3 & 4) are fitted into or bonded on to each part (1 & 2). On one of these parts (1) there are two protrusions (5 & 6) which fit into holes (7 & 8) in the other part (2), to ensure a correct fitting together. At the top of each part there are rings (11 & 12) to which the extremities of the necklace are fixed. The pendent forms the fastening of the necklace to which it is attached and can be decorated in many different ways. One of the magnets may be replaced by a magnetisable plate.
