Abstract

1317451 Studs and sockets fastenings RUDOLF WEIDEMANN GmbH & CO 4 May 1970 [7 May 1969] 21435/70 Heading E2B A letter "H", for example, has a body 10 which is "U"-shaped in cross section is provided with a web 8 and limbs 13, and is attached to a support 16 by means of sockets 5 and studs 4, the sockets 5 being adhered to the letter "H" and the studs 4 being mounted on a baseplate 1. The latter is provided with weight-reducing holes 11 and grooves 3, Fig. 2, which allow a portion or portions to be broken off the baseplate 1 so as to reduce its size, and is adhered to the support 16. Conveniently the sockets 5 or the studs 4 are adhered to the letter "H" and the stud fasteners 4 or the socket fasteners 5 are adhered to the support 16, the letter being brought to the support so that the studs can be pushed into their respective sockets. Other alternatives include the locating of the studs in the sockets prior to the studs and/or sockets being attached to the respective figure or support. (For Figures see next column)
