Abstract

1,048,185. Transformers. PLESSEY U.K. Ltd. Aug. 29, 1963 [Sept. 7, 1962], No. 34334/62. Heading H1T. One or both of a pair of inductively coupled windings is or are enclosed in a pot core having a slot 17 in its outer cylindrical portion, the two windings being mounted side by side and the coupling between them depending on the position of the slot or slots. In the intermediate frequency transformer shown the tuning capacitors are carried within the transformer casing and each coil has an adjustable core member 14. The core assemblies can be mounted pivotally on the base 11 or may be fixed thereon by adhesive. One of the units shown may be replaced by a coil having a straight core or no core.
