Abstract

1,139,593. Transmission line arrangements. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 16 Aug., 1966 [22 Sept., 1965], No. 40414/65. Heading H2H. A current limiting link between two A.C. networks 5, 6 comprises a saturable transformer 1-4 connected to a capacitor 7, the combination being series resonant at normal currents and frequency. At least part of transformer core has a sharp saturation knee. A resistor (not shown) may be connected across part or whole of the primary winding or a tertiary winding. An additional choke f may be connected in series with the combination.
