Abstract

1,041,256. Reservoir applicators. LIPAT G.m.b.H., FUR LIZENEN UND PATENTE. Nov. 22, 1963, No. 46263/63. Heading A4K. [Also in Division B8] A container of the type described in Specification 926,665 is fitted with a closure comprising a cylindrical or conical member 38 having an elastic diaphragm 39 apertured at 40, the material in the container being dispensed when pressure is exerted laterally on the outer end of a rod 8 pivoted at 44; the inner end of the rod is thereby caused to distort the aperture 40. The rod is pivoted on ribs 45. A cap 16 covers the closure before use, the rod being held at that time in the position shown in interrupted lines. In a modification, Fig. 10 (not shown), the rod is integral with the member 38 and the diaphragm 39 is on the outer side of the pivot point. Other modifications, Figs. 12- 15 (not shown), provide alternative forms of diaphragm and means of attaching it.
