Abstract

1293604 Reservoir applicators METAL BOX CO Ltd 10 April 1970 [17 April 1969] 19689/69 Heading A4K [Also in Division B8] A container for liquid has fitted in the neck 21 thereof, a moulded plastics material holder, e.g. of ABS, having a peripheral wall 13 and a continuous or discontinuous head 18 between which a pad 16 of foamed plastics material is trapped in compression, the holder being formed with at least one projection 22 or a screw-thread (23), Fig.3 (not shown) to prevent unintentional displacement of the holder from the container. The holder may be formed with a frangible diaphragm 17 which is pierced before the first use of the applicator by a spigot (28), Fig.3 (not shown) integral with a cap (27) which fits over the holder when not in use.
