Abstract

1,028,786. Reservoir pad. OWENSILLINOIS Inc. Jan. 29, 1965 [Feb. 17, 1964], No. 3925/65. Heading A4K. [Also in Division B8] A liquid applicator comprises a fitment 18 attached to the neck 11 of a bottle 10, wherein the filament 18 consists of a basinlike wall 21 having an apertured flange 25, which rests upon the neck 11, and an outer apertured resilient dome-like diaphragm 22, which is spaced above the wall 21 with the two concave sides of the wall 21 and diaphragm 22 facing to define a reservoir 20. When the bottle 10 is inverted liquid therein flows through apertures 26 and when the diaphragm is pressed the liquid flows out through it's apertures. Marginal portions of the wall 21 and the diaphragm 22 are interconnected by the flange 25 engaging between a flange 31 and an annular bead 33 of the diaphragm. The wall 21 and diaphragm may be formed of polyethylene. A screw-threaded cap 37 is provided.
