1,234,870. Reservoir pads. G. SCHWARTZMAN. 8 Dec., 1969, No. 59804/69. Heading A4K. A liquid applicator comprises an airtight container 16 of plastics material integral with an annular flange 14 which retains a pad of resilient material in position, said container having a frangible portion 18. A closure cap 34 is provided with a projection 39 which is used to pierce the pad and frangible portion 18 when it is desired to use the applicator. In two further embodiments (Figs. 4-6, not shown), the end wall of the container is provided with a plug (118, 218) which is either pushed into the container by a projection on the closure cap or by pressure on the resilient pad.
