1318715 Container closures DIAMOND INTERNATIONAL CORP 11 Nov 1970 [10 Dec 1969] 53586/70 Heading B8T A flexible container comprises a cap 16a and a gasket and check valve member 20a. Interrupted ribs 26a seat the member 20a on the end wall of the container neck 12a, the member 20a having radial grooves 36a and a central hole 30a in a resilient frusto-conical portion 28a which is depressed by and sealed against the cap 16a, When the pressure within the container is below atmospheric, the portion 28a is depressed further, allowing air to enter the container to prevent distortion of the container.
