Abstract

1,034,004. Nestable and stackable boxes. MAUSER KOMM. GES. July 28, 1964, No. 30046/64. Heading B8P. A plastics or metal box which can be nested and stacked has its sides sloping inwards from an outwardly curved rectangular rim, and has the corners of one side 3 bevelled to form chamfers 4 and has a ledge 11 in the rim portion 9 opposite the chamfers 4. The lower corner edges 8 of a superimposed box 1 bear against depressions 7 defined by the chamfers 4 and the bottom edge 12 of the box 1 bears against the base of the ledge 11. The sides are stepped at 13. The upper box 1 is rotated through 180 degrees from its stacking position to its nesting position. Bead-like projections 14 are provided to stop the nested boxes jamming. A convex embossed plate 16 is provided to reinforce the floor of the box. Drainage holes are also provided.
