Abstract

[Also in Division F2] The driven part of the clutch (see Division F2) drives a reciprocating measuring pump for filling containers with milk, so that as long as the containers are moved onwards rhythmically the clutch can be engaged for continuous action of the pump, while in the event of a container failing to arrive the clutch must be disengaged. This is attained by a clutch control lever which is swung into the path of a milk container, and if the container is in position is positioned thereby so that the clutch remains engaged. If a container is not present, the lever disengages the clutch. At the end of one revolution and provided a milk container is in position, the clutch is engaged to transmit drive to the pump. When the clutch is disengaged the driven member may be hold in position by a brake.
