1349649 Stoppering AUTOPACK Ltd 22 Oct 1971 [24 Nov 1970] 55720/70 Heading B8T An apparatus for feeding and inserting a stopper in a vial comprises a suction head 14 attached to arm 17 on rod 18, which is moved vertically by bobbin 18a, lever 22, and cam 29, and arcuately by lever 24, rod 25, lever 26, and cam 30. The suction is released by the solenoid valve 16, which is operated by switch SW2 when the stopper has been inserted, and by switch SW1 when no vial is present. Alternatively switch SW1 may de-energize a motor driving spindle 28 or de-actuate a clutch in the drive to the spindle.
