Abstract
1,031,836. Fusible cut-outs. BURNDY CORPORATION. July 19, 1963 [July 26, 1962], No. 28667/63. Heading H2G. A fusible element is formed by flattening a portion of a tube 14 and cutting away part of this flattened portion to form two narrow strips which are separated over most of their length to form fuse elements 16, 18. The tube may be flattened in the middle portion as shown, or at one end, so that only one end of each of the spaced-apart elements is joined to the tube. The element may be placed in a heat-resistant container 22 filled with quartz sand.
