[Also in Division B7] A sling comprises two U-section girders 1, la connected together by bracings 4, 4a, 4b, 4c and bolts 2, 2a which carry a shackle 3 for connection to a monorail conveyer system. Two frames each comprise two connected U-section beams 17, not shown in Fig. 1, connected to a U-section member 18 which slides in the space between girders 1, la, and each carry, on pivots 16, guides 14 for a flat-plate hooks 13; the hooks on each frame between interconnected by a cable 27 passing over pulleys 26 so that downward movement of one hook causes upward movement of the other hook. The guides 14 are connected by levers 19, 10, 10a, 12 or 19, 9, 9a, 11 to a shaft 7 or 7<SP>1</SP> which is rotated by a hand wheel 8 or 8<SP>1</SP> to adjust the angular position of the hooks 13 for different loads. A U-shaped carrier, Fig. 6 (not shown), supports a load on hooks 13. Each frame is adjusted along the girders 1, la according to the load and is held in position by a screw clamp.
