Abstract
The cable (3), guided over a drivewheel (1) which is driven to rotate, runs in a cable guide (4) designed as a pipe. In the latter, the cable (3) is guided without contact by means of sliding members (5) attached thereto. Fixed to the cable (3) is a connecting part (6) which extends outwards through an elongate slit in the cable guide pipe (4) and to which is fixed the load-carrying vehicle carrying the load which is to be conveyed. The cable (3) is designed to be electrically conductive, so that control commands can be transmitted to the cable drive (1). The cable guide pipe (4) is also designed as a guide rail for the load-carrying vehicle. Since the cable guide pipe (4) carries the weight of the load, the connecting part (6) is required to do no more than transmit the movement of the cable (3) to the load-carrying vehicle. The cable (3) and the sliding members (5) are thus not subjected to the weight of the load to be moved. <IMAGE>
