Abstract

The suspended monorailway having devices for supplying power to vehicles having their own electromotive drive is preferably used within a system for the company-internal conveyance of loads. There is provision for this monorail to have a carrier (1) which has an essentially C-shaped profile and a running rail (15) for the vehicles which are composed of a driven and a free-wheeling running gear which carrier (1), due to its rigidity, only requires a limited number of attachment points and makes the use of additional, continuous reinforcements unnecessary. The carrier (1) has, in integral design together with the running rail (15), suspension and connecting devices (16), attachment devices (17, 18, 19) and devices (24) for guiding the vehicles, and bears at a protected point inside the profile electrical lines (13), arranged essentially as an extension of the axles of the running rollers (8) of the vehicles, for supplying power to the driven running gear.
