Abstract

1,020,229. Hinge mountings. PRESSED STEEL CO. Ltd. Jan. 13, 1965 [Jan. 14, 1964], No. 1518/64. Heading E2F. In a hinge mounting for a door comprising two or more pairs of hinged leaves each having a fixed leaf secured to the door post and a pivotal leaf secured to the door, a pad of resilient material, e.g. rubber, is interposed between the fixed leaf of at least one pair of leaves and the door post, the pad being bonded on one face to the fixed leaf and on the opposite face to a backplate. The "set" of the door may then be adjusted to correct sag by adjusting the screws or bolts securing the resiliently mounted leaf to the door post.
