Abstract

1460364 Door frame; hinges J-C GREGOIRE 21 March 1974 12655/74 Headings E1J and E2F A door frame comprises door posts 1, 2 and an upper rail 3 of extruded plastics material or drawn metal which have a groove 11 for receiving the latch 24 and a dovetail groove 18 in which the hinges 26 may be clamped at any level. The door 6 bears against sealing members 14 held in the groove (13). The hinge has a pin 29 which is screwed into the door leaf and a screw operated fixing means to clamp into the dove-tail groove; this may be a wedge-shaped piece 39 and a conical-pointed set screw 42 or a split extension which is forced into the dove-tail by set screws. The hinge is preferably of plastics material with the pin 29 of steel.
