Abstract

1,020,198. Reaping machines. KOMBINAT FORTSCHNITT LANDMASCHINEN VEB. Dec. 16, 1964, No. 51121/64. Heading A1F. The reciprocating cutter of a mowing machine comprises a blade support 1 to which the blades 2 are secured and a reinforcing strip 3 secured to the support above the blades, the support and strip being extended at one end of the cutter to form a tongue 4 which is securable in a slot 5 in an element 6 of the driving mechanism for the blade, the element being rotatable relative to a bearing 9 about an axis perpendicular to the length of the cutter. The bearing 9 is carried by a rocking lever 11 connected to driving means (not shown). The tongue 4 is clamped by a nut 8 into the slot 5 in the bolt 6. The reinforcing strip is stepped at its end forming the tongue to accommodate for the thickness of the blades 2. The blade-structure can be withdrawn from the slot by a tool inserted into a hole 13 at the opposite end 12 of the blade support.
