Abstract

1,009,610. Cutting straw &c. A. B. GRÍNBERG. Jan. 10, 1963 [Jan. 16, 1962], No. 1117/63. Heading A4C. A machine for cutting straw &c. comprises a rotor 3 having a plurality of cutter arms 10 which on rotation intermesh with a row of stator arms 11 carried by a common supporting beam 12, the latter being rotatable about its longitudinal axis by means of a lever 15 which is adapted to be clamped in adjusted position by means of a wing nut 22 on a bolt 21 extending through a slot 20 to a pivoted link arm 19, thereby to adjust the inclination of the stator arms 11. The slot 20 may be provided in either the lever 15 or the link arm 19. Cutting edges may be provided on both the rotor arms 10 and the stator arms 11. The stator arms 11 may be swung out of engagement with the rotor arms 10 for cutting green fodder. Specification 792,414 is referred to.
