Abstract
A bulk cooling tank for milk has an agitator 10 given a motion of rotary reciprocation by a crank 8 and a bellows 7 which is periodically connected to a vacuum pump by a trip valve which releases the vacuum when the bellows are collapsed, the bellows being spring returned. The exhaust gas from the pump may be used to agitate the water in the cooling jacket.
