Abstract
624,208. Mixing fluids. ANGLO-IRANIAN OIL CO., Ltd., and THOMAS. F. C. June 12, 1947, No. 15530. [Class 86] A mixing device for fluids comprises a container 1, having disc and ring baffles 2, 3, connected to the fluid inlet and outlet 12 by bellows 5, 6 respectively. The container and bellows are mounted in a stationary frame 10. A frame 13 of stirrup form is secured to the container 1 and slides on the frame 10 when reciprocated by a cam 15, the bellows 5, 6 ensuring that whilst the container is reciprocating the fluids are urged back and forth through the tortuous path formed by the baffles 2, 3. The device may be used either as a batch mixer or as a continuous discharge apparatus.
