Abstract
691,807. Mixing appliances. JAGENBER G-WERKE AKT.-GES. Dec. 27, 1950 [Jan. 14, 1950], No. 31378/50. Class 86 An appliance for homogenizing and/or mixing powdery or pulpy substances such as glue or the like and for stirring powdery substances with water or with a solvent comprises a filling funnel 6 divided into two compartments 6a and 6b either of which may be placed into communication through a changeover cock 9 with a mixing chamber 4 having mixing elements in the form of a gear pump. The outlet of the mixing chamber comprises a tube 13 having its free end slewable for location over either of the compartments 6a or 6b, and the arrangement is such that the substance conveyed by the gear pump will be fed either to the compartment open to the mixing chamber for repeated circulation or to the compartment closed to the mixing chamber for completely emptying the open compartment. The tube 13 is also used for finally drawing off the finished substance. Liquid or gas may be taken into the mixing chamber at the same time but separately from the substance to be treated through a pipe 11 provided with a shut-off cock 10.
