Abstract

1403874 Supply fittings for bottles &c. J EISENTHAL 15 March 1974 11568/74 Heading A4N [Also in Division B1 and F2] In apparatus for mixing hot and cold water and optionally dissolving a solid therein, the water is mixed in an inlet chamber 4 and thence flows axially into a hollow cylindrical rotatable valve member 25, outlet 28, chamber 32, 33 or 34, and aperture 35, 36 or 37 with outlet chamber 5. At least one of the chambers 32, 33 or 34 can accommodate a detachable container 38 for a soluble substance such as soap and the valve member 25 can be rotated by control knob 27 so that its outlet port 28 registers with an aperture as at 29 admitting the water to any one of the chambers, or to 32 and 33, or 33 and 34, so that clear water or water containing any desired proportion of the solution can be delivered. There are two outlets 12 from the apparatus one for direct discharge into a bath and the other for connection to a shower; a control knob 15 operates a flap valve 13 to select the outlet in use. The apparatus may be secured between the taps of a bath by a mounting element 7; suction pads 9, 10 then rest on the rim and wall of the bath. Two inlets 11 may be connected to the hot and cold taps of the bath by flexible hoses.
