Abstract

The mixing tap for hot and cold water is operated by one hand only. It comprises a main body (110) which contains at least one additional outlet duct (111) for cold or hot water for connection to a washing machine, or dish washer. A bore (122) in the body accommodates a stop cock for the duct (111). This bore is connected (123, 124) to one of the two supply ducts (101) for cold or hot water and to the additional outlet duct (111). The top of the body may contain a hot and cold mixing chamber (136), ducts leading to a swivelable outlet spout for mixed water, and means to control the ratio of hot or cold water admitted to the chamber.
