Abstract

This liquid mixer control tap has a flow regulating handle mounted to pivot backwards and forwards on the body about a transverse axis. A shaft mounted by a ball and socket thus also pivots, and a projection slides a cylindrical surfaced valve plate over the entry ports from the hot and cold supply pipes. These ports are made in the semi-cylindrical body forming a mixing chamber which has open ends to allow the mixed liquid to pass to the discharge nozzle. To control the temperature, the valve plate is moved sideways so that the holes in the plate uncover a greater or lesser area of the supply ports.
