Abstract

931,705. Mixing fluids. BARKING BRASSWARE CO. Ltd. March 16, 1962 [April 14, 1961], No. 13607/61. Class 86. [Also in Group I] Apparatus for mixing fluids from two sources, e.g. hot and cold water from a domestic supply, comprises a body 1 divided into two parts 2, 3 by an internal partition 4, and an outlet member (of inverted U-shape, and formed by coaxial tubes 12, 13) having two fluid flow paths 12, 14 open to body parts 2, 3 respectively, but not communicating inside the outlet member; the fluids commingle upon projection therefrom. The outlet member is retained in the body by a circlip 19 engaged in a recess 11, and is sealed by 0-rings 15, 18 so that it can be rotated about a vertical axis 25. The aperture 8 is concealed by a shield 20 frictionally engaged with the enlargement 21 of the tube 13 by an 0-ring 22. Taps for controlling the fluid may be mounted on the body 1.
