Abstract

962,642. Reciprocating pumps. TRICO-FOLBERTH Ltd. Oct. 13, 1960 [Oct. 14, 1959], No. 34845/59. Heading F1A. A windscreen washer pump comprises a tubular member 14 of resilient material, secured at one end to a housing 10 and at the other to a member 20 carrying a shaft 28 having a knob 26 by which it may be rotated to cause the member 14 to collapse to expel liquid through the outlet 22 and a valve (not shown) to windscreen washer nozzles. On release of the knob the member 14 returns to its original shape and liquid is drawn in from a container through a valve. It is stated that the pump may be operated by the windscreen wiper.
