Abstract

1,017,548. Two-part couplings. INDUSTRIAL SERVICE OUTLETS Ltd., and J. K. LANHAM. Oct. 9, 1964 [Oct. 10, 1963], No. 40023/63. Heading H2E. In a service outlet as described in Specification 830,949, in which covers 5, 6 hinge upwardly to enable an inserted plug 18 or the like to be connected to a socket 12, an arm 23 is pivoted to one cover 5 and is movable by a flap 19, which normally blocks the end of the socket, to the position shown in which, when the cover 5 is closed it will engage a projection of the other cover 6 so as to depress the latter to permit the free passage of the cable 29 or the like. A latch for the cover 5 may be withdrawn by a tool inserted in a hole 30, and when the cover is opened, a link rocks the socket upwardly.
