Abstract

1,011,447. Lubricating passages. DAIMLERBENZ A.G. April 7, 1964 [April 11, 1963], No. 14349/64. Heading F1B. Lubricating oil is supplied to the crank-shaft bearings 1 through a hollow camshaft 8, centred by a hollow member 19 mounted in the crankcase wall 21. The oil is supplied to a chamber 24 in a cover plate and flows to the bearings 1 through passages 11, 12 in the camshaft which either communicate cyclically with the passages 14 or communicates permanently therewith through annular passages 15. Oil is also supplied to the valve gear through passage 13.
