100,059. Bradshaw, G. D. Feb. 3, 1915, [Convention date]. Atmospheric gas burners.-A burner for use with blast-furnace gas, producer gas, coal-gas, or natural gas has a converging gas-inlet portion 2, a diverging outlet portion 1, and air-inlet openings 6 near to, but in advance of, the junction of the two portions. In the form shown, the portion 2 has a straight throat 3, and the air inlets 6 are regulated by means of valves 7, which are mounted on pivots 8 and adjusted by means of links 10, 12 and adjusting-nuts 13 on either side of brackets 14 on the burner. The burner portion 2 is bolted to flanges 16 on the supply pipe 4, and the burner is flat and rectangular in section.
