Abstract
100,896. Bradshaw, G. D. July 15, 1915, [Convention date]. Atmospheric gas burners. - A heat. ing-burner, especially adapted for consuming blastfurnace or producer gases, comprises an elbowpipe 3 of uniform diameter through which gas is supplied, a core-piece arranged therein, air inlets 5 in the pipe 3, and air inlets 13 formed in the core-piece and communicating with an internal air-supply pipe, the air inlets 5, 13 being arranged at that point where the effective cross-sectional area of the tube is least. In one form, the core-piece 10 is constructed as shown in Fig. 1, and the end of the internal airsupply pipe 9 at which the air inlets 13 are arranged is enlarged. The air inlets 5 are regulated by a flanged sliding regulator 6, and the outer end of the pipe 9 is provided with a sliding damper 15 fitted in grooves, or with a butterfly or other damper.
