En référence à cette figure, on peut voir qu'un système d'isolation et de décoration selon l'invention se présente sous la forme d'une cloison 1, destinée à être accolée à la paroi d'un immeuble. Cette cloison 1 comprend une face interne 10 destinée à être solidarisée au travers de moyens appropriés à la paroi à habiller, et une face extérieure 11 de décoration. La cloison 1 est constituée de la superposition de 35 plusieurs couches de matériaux, les quelles sont mises en oeuvres successivement, en commençant par celle constituant la face interne 10. Ainsi la fabrication d'une cloison 1 débute par la confection d'un châssis en bois 2, constitué de l'assemblage entre elles de poutres 20, le châssis 2 étant de dimensions correspondant à celles de la paroi à habiller. Le châssis 2 est recouvert, du côté opposé à la face interne 10 de la cloison 1, de panneaux 21 qui permettent de rigidifier l'ensemble du châssis 2, et de constituer une surface plane 22 apte à servir de support aux autres matériaux. Les panneaux 21 consistent en des panneaux de bois aggloméré, de préférence des panneaux à lamelles minces orientées. La surface 22 est ensuite recouverte d'un film ou d'une nappe 3 de matériau étanche, destinée à empêcher le passage de l'humidité, et surtout de protéger les panneaux 21 de l'eau de pluie. Le film ou nappe 3 est ensuite recouvert d'un treillis 4, qui peut être réalisé en matière plastique, ou bien en métal, tel que de l'acier galvanisé ou de l'aluminium. Dans le mode de réalisation représenté, le treillis 4 est constitué de la juxtaposition de profilés 40 en métal déployé. Le treillis 4 est ensuite garni d'un ensemble 5 de planches 50, agencées pour former des colombages. Les planches 50 sont fixées aux panneaux 21, elles sont aussi assemblées entre elles par des systèmes tenons mortaises, réels ou factices. Après fixation des planches 50, un enduit 6 est déposé entre celles-ci, sur le treillis 4 qui constitue la surface d'accrochage. L'enduit 6 peut être peint, de même que les planches 50 peuvent être peintes, vernies ou traitées avec un produit fongicides. La face extérieure 11 est ainsi terminée, elle présente l'aspect d'une façade à colombages. On notera que le caractère isolant de la cloison 1 est obtenu au travers de blocs 7, d'un matériau isolant qui peut être constitué de différents matériaux, disposés entre les poutres 20, contre les panneaux 21 auxquels ils sont solidarisés. Les blocs 7 peuvent être incorporés à la cloison 1, soit après la construction du châssis 11, soit avant l'adaptation de la cloison 1 à la paroi à habiller.
