Description

La présente invention concerne un panneau d'isolation acoustique,The present invention relates to an acoustic insulation panel,

Panels of this type provide relatively satisfactory sound insulation.

However, it is necessary to improve the performance of these panels to meet the demands of consumers who are increasingly important in terms of comfort.

The present invention proposes precisely to provide a response to these requirements and, for this purpose, it relates to an acoustic insulation panel having the structure indicated above and characterized in that the facing plate is perforated.

Thanks to the perforations made in the facing plate, the panel according to the invention has a sound absorption power significantly higher than acoustic insulation panels currently available on the market.

The perforations of the facing plate may be from about 5 to about 25% of the surface area of the faces thereof and are preferably uniformly distributed.

They may also have a shape selected from the group consisting of round, square, rectangular, oblong, cross-shaped, truncated cone, truncated pyramid and diamond tip.

According to a particular embodiment of the panel according to the invention, the outer acoustic insulation layer may be constituted by a second plasterboard while the inner acoustic insulation layer may be constituted by a layer of melamine foam.

In order to further increase the acoustic insulation provided by the panel according to the invention, a viscoelastic sheet may advantageously be interposed between the two acoustic insulation layers, this sheet preferably being based on bitumen.

Furthermore, to give a particular aesthetic appearance to the panel according to the invention, a glass veil can be interposed between the facing plate and the inner acoustic insulation layer, this veil preferably being white.

The facing plate may advantageously comprise a peripheral rim projecting from the side of the acoustic insulation layers and delimiting a cavity containing at least the inner acoustic insulation layer.

This edge has the advantage of increasing the rigidity of the panel significantly.

According to an alternative embodiment of the panel according to the invention, the external acoustic insulation layer is disposed in the cavity, its external face being located substantially level with the face of the flange of the facing plate which defines the entrance of the cavity.

According to another variant embodiment, the viscoelastic sheet and the glass mat, when these two elements exist, are arranged in the cavity, the external acoustic insulation layer resting on the edge of the facing plate which delimits the entry of the cavity and on the viscoelastic sheet.

In order to facilitate the fixing of several panels to supports suspended from a ceiling and to make these supports invisible, grooves may advantageously be formed in at least two opposite peripheral sides of the facing plate.

Two embodiments of the present invention will be described hereinafter by way of non-limiting examples with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is a diagrammatic, partial and cutaway perspective view showing a panel of FIG. acoustic insulation according to the invention; - Figure 2 is a schematic sectional view along the line II-II of Figure 1; FIG. 3 is a diagrammatic, partial and cutaway perspective view showing another acoustic insulation panel according to the invention; and FIG. 4 is a schematic sectional view along the line IV-IV of FIG. 3.

The acoustic insulation panel shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a gypsum wallboard 1 bearing on its non-exposed face two acoustic insulation layers 2, 3 arranged one on the other, the layer internal 2 resting on the plate 1 while the outer layer 3 rests on the inner layer 2.

The facing plate 1 has perforations 4 uniformly distributed and representing from about 5 to about 25 of the surface of its large faces.

It should be noted here that the perforations, which are not present in the peripheral portion of the plate 1, can have very varied shapes and be for example round, square, rectangular, or oblique.

They could also be crosses, truncated cones, truncated pyramids or diamond points.

The facing plate 1 has a peripheral flange 5 projecting from the opposite side to its face exposed to the view.

The peripheral flange 5 delimits a cavity 6 whose inner peripheral faces each comprise a bearing 7 extending parallel to the large faces of the facing plate 1.

The inner layer 2 rests directly against the bottom of the cavity 6 and is flush with the bearing 7.

The outer layer 3 rests against the inner layer 2 and against the bearing 7 and is flush with the face of the flange 5 which defines the inlet of the cavity 6.

In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2, the facing plate 1 has a thickness of about 15 mm, except at its periphery where its thickness is about 40 mm, and is made of plaster, of preferably reinforced with fibers.

The inner layer 2 has a thickness of about 15 mm and is preferably made of melamine foam.

The outer layer 3 has a thickness of about 10 mm and is preferably made of plaster reinforced with fibers.

To be complete, it will be specified that grooves 8 are formed in the peripheral sides of the facing plate 1.

Fastening lugs 9 provided at the free end of rods 10 fixed to a ceiling are intended to be introduced into the grooves 8.

Thus, panels according to the invention can be held against each other at a distance from the ceiling, without the legs 9 and the rods 10 are visible.

The acoustic insulation panel shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 has a certain number of differences with respect to the panel described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2.

Firstly, a viscoelastic sheet 11, preferably based on bitumen, is interposed between the inner and outer layers 2 and 3.

Moreover, a glass veil 12, preferably of white color, rests against the bottom of the cavity 6 and serves as a support for the inner layer 2.

This glass veil is visible through the perforations 4 of the facing plate 1 and gives an original aesthetic appearance to the panel according to the invention.

It will be noted in FIGS. 3 and 4 that the inner peripheral faces of the cavity 6 do not comprise a bearing, and that the viscoelastic sheet 11 is flush with the face of the flange 5 which delimits the inlet of the cavity 6.

It will also be noted that the outer layer 3 rests on the face of the flange 5 which delimits the entry of the cavity 6 and on the viscoelastic sheet 11, its peripheral sides being in line with those of the facing plate 1.

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the viscoelastic sheet has a thickness of the order of 5 mm and the glass mat has a thickness of the order of a millimeter, whereas the outer layer 3 has a thickness of the order of 10 mm, the other elements forming part of the panel having thicknesses comparable to those of the corresponding elements of the panel visible in FIGS. 1 and 2.

Laboratory tests have shown that the panels according to the invention provide a very satisfactory acoustic insulation since the level of acoustic attenuation obtained was 52 DbA.

Tests relating to the reaction to fire of the materials used have also made it possible to classify the panels according to the invention in category M1.
