Abstract
Description
OR SIMILAR SUPPORT FOR ELECTRIC LINE
AERIAL OR THE LIKE
The invention relates to supports for overhead lines such as electric poles, lighting or telecommunication poles and more particularly concrete supports or the like as well as a method of manufacturing such concrete supports.
Up to now, wooden, steel, fiberglass or reinforced or prestressed concrete supports or posts have been commonly used, the shape, dimensions and even characteristics of which are dictated by the standards.
Naturally, the choice of material is important since it will determine the life of the supports and therefore give rise to more or less important and more or less frequent checks and maintenance; in addition, the choice of material for an overhead line is often determined by taking into account the environment or the ecological aspects of the areas crossed.
In principle, to support light overhead lines which generate only low tensile forces at the head of the post, the most commonly chosen material is wood because of its low weight, low cost and relatively good integration into the 'environment. On the other hand, the lifespan of such supports is generally limited to twenty years and posts of this nature are much more exposed in the event of accidental impact and less conducive to escalation by technicians during an intervention or line maintenance. In some cases it is even necessary to reinforce the wooden posts by adding jambs or even guy lines, which significantly increases the installation cost.
Metal masts are also used for larger installations and it is well known that these posts are more sensitive to corrosion, which can ultimately lead to a reduction in their resistance; moreover, their shape and color rarely integrate into the environment.
This is the reason why concrete posts for power lines are widely used today; however, their high weight requires substantial and therefore expensive installation machinery and their overly technical shape does not correspond to current ecological aspirations.
To overcome all these drawbacks, it is therefore proposed in accordance with the invention, a post or more generally a support, the service life of which is at least forty years, that is to say double that of a wooden post, and which does not require any maintenance or control due to good resistance to pollution and accidental impact such as impacts or mowing of slopes for example.
In this regard, a concrete support or the like is provided for overhead power lines or the like, remarkable in that its general external shape consists of two advantageously equal vertical portions of truncated cone whose sections at the top and at the base correspond to angle sectors each less than 180 symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis of the support and centered at points which are not necessarily confused, the two portions being joined by their end generators over their entire height, by two regular trapezoidal planes symmetrically arranged with respect to the vertical axis of the support and inclined towards each other from the bottom to the top of the support.
According to another important characteristic of the invention, the same support has a central recess over its entire height opening at the two ends to allow at least the passage of a down cable to connect the overhead line to an underground cable.
The support according to the invention is capable of supporting an overhead line also taking into account the force of the wind or the possible fall of objects on the wires without resorting to reinforcements of the strut type or shrouds; this support, the weight of which is less than 500 kg for a height of 8 meters, can be easily installed without using large lifting devices and it is adapted to remarkably facilitate the connection between the overhead line which it supports and an underground cable. In addition, the support according to the invention can receive different types of armament further contributing to facilitate assembly of the line and therefore to reduce costs. Finally, thanks to its particular aesthetics, the support according to the invention integrates very easily into its environment, practically as well as the old wooden post.
According to another object of the invention, there is also proposed a method of manufacturing these concrete supports allowing mass production at a competitive cost compared to existing supports.

Other advantages and characteristics will emerge more clearly from the description which will be given of a concrete support in accordance with the invention, given below by way of preferred illustration, although not limiting of the invention with reference to the drawings. on which ones :
FIG. 1 is an elevation view of the support of the invention, shown in partial vertical axial section passing along a plane perpendicular to the planar faces of the support,
FIG. 2 represents on a much larger scale, the support of FIG. 1 in view from below,
FIG. 3 is a view on a very enlarged scale of the top surface of the support of FIG. 1,
FIG. 4 shows in axial vertical section and on an enlarged scale, the cap of the support of FIG. 1 coming to be positioned on the summit surface shown in the previous figure,
FIG. 5 is a bottom view of the mold for manufacturing the support of FIG. 1 as it is arranged horizontally before pouring the concrete,
FIG. 6 is a partial view in cross section of the part of the casting mold corresponding to the upper part of the support of FIG. 1.
In accordance with FIG. 1, the concrete support according to the invention conventionally comprises a barrel 1, a lower part 2 of which is located in the ground 3, a middle part 4 comprises substantially at breast height relative to the ground 3 a door 5 giving access to the internal hollow part 6 of the barrel, finally an upper part 7, corresponding substantially to a little less than half of the total height of the barrel 1, which essentially comprises the post head 8 (corresponding to the upper part not cut from Figure 1) comprising at least two drilling assemblies 9 and 10, opening or not in the hollow part 6 of the barrel 1, and positioned along two perpendicular axes. On the upper part of the head 8, a concrete cover 11 is mounted glued or sealed to ensure the recovery of the prestressed steels.
Accessoirement, la coiffe 11 est munie d'un affaiblissement central 12, tel que représenté en pointillés sur la figure 4, qui peut tre facilement perforé ou operculé de manière à créer un passage venant en continuité de l'évidement cylindrique 13 prévu comme il sera détaillé plus loin dans l'axe de la partie supérieure 7 du fût 1 et ce afin d'assurer la descente d'un câble (non représenté sur les figures) venant relier comme il a été dit en préambule, la ligne aérienne à un câble souterrain (également non représentés).Incidentally, the cap 11 is provided with a central weakening 12, as shown in dotted lines in FIG. 4, which can be easily perforated or sealed so as to create a passage coming in continuity with the cylindrical recess 13 provided as will be detailed further along the axis of the upper part 7 of the barrel 1 in order to ensure the descent of a cable (not shown in the figures) coming to connect, as said in the preamble, the overhead line to a cable underground (also not shown).
The arming accessories used to support and isolate the overhead line (not shown in the figures) are mounted on one or the other of the drilling assemblies 9 or 10 at the head of the support. When these accessories are mounted on the left or on the right of FIG. 1, corresponding to the flat parts of the barrel 1 as will be said below, they come directly to bear on the same flat faces so as to be bolted or screwed into all of the bores correspondents prepared for this purpose. When, on the contrary, the arming accessories are mounted at 90 from the previous assembly, it is then possible to mount them on the curved face of the barrel 1; for this, a flat 14 is advantageously provided on each curved face making it possible to receive the accessories which will be bolted or screwed using the drilling assemblies 9.
With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, the particular geometry of barrel 1 will now be detailed. According to the essential characteristic of the invention, barrel 1 which is hollow over its entire height to a general external shape resulting from the assembly of two portions 15,16 vertical, advantageously equal truncated cones, extending from the base 17 of the barrel (Figure 2) to its head 18 (Figure 3), and whose sections at the top and at the base correspond to sectors angles each less than 180; these sectors are arranged symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis 19 of the support and they are centered at points which may or may not be merged to give more or less shape to the two portions 15, 16 of truncated cone; these (15,16) are also joined by their end generators 20 to 23 over their entire height, by two regular trapezoidal planes 24 symmetrically arranged with respect to the axis 19 and inclined towards one another from the bottom 17 to the top 18 of the support.
According to another particular characteristic of the invention, the central recess 6.13 of the support can first be used as was said for the passage of the down cable; however, and to obtain a significant reduction in the support, the recess 6 provided in the lower part 2 of the barrel 1 is generally in the form of a prism trunk while the recess 13 in the upper part 7 up to the head 8 of the support is generally cylindrical taking into account the thickness of the barrel at this altitude. On the other hand, as will be seen below, it would be practically impossible to mold a concrete support of eight meters in length by providing a central core of continuously prismatic or frustoconical shape over the entire height: the formwork would be impossible to achieve and this is also why the previously known posts do not have a central recess in the upper part or the head of the support.
Incidentally, the junction between the lower prismatic recess 6 and the upper cylindrical recess part 13 is effected by a frusto-conical part 25 providing continuity at a height which is slightly greater than half of the total height of the support. For example, concerning a standard post eight meters high, it is considered that the lower part measures five meters and the upper cylindrical central recess measures three meters, comprising a junction zone 25 for a height of about fifty millimeters.
According to a particular embodiment of the support of the invention, the recess 6 in the lower part of the support has the shape of a prism trunk with four main faces 26 truncated at its four angles to give four new, less important secondary faces 27 than the previous ones, in accordance with the representation of FIG. 2. This particular construction of the recess 6 provides both a significant reduction in the support, which is a decisive advantage as we have seen, but also the possibility of having at the right of each secondary face 27 and along these, at least four prestressed irons 28 providing the rigidity necessary to resist the tensile forces due to the power lines on the head of the support; of course, these four prestressed irons at the time of pouring the concrete are then cut flush with the top surface 18 as shown in FIG. 3 of the drawings and naturally at the bottom of the base 17 of the support.
In addition, it is also planned to strengthen the vertical mechanical strength of the support by inserting over part of the height of the barrel, at least four unconstrained irons as shown in FIG. 2 in dotted lines under the reference 29.
According to a secondary characteristic of the invention, an orifice 30 is provided in the lower part of the support located in the ground 3 to ensure the passage of a cable from the recess 6 to the outside of the barrel 1. This orifice 30 is advantageously made in a radial plane of the barrel at an inclination from bottom to top advantageously 45 from the external wall of the support to the central recess 6 to facilitate the passage of the cable, at least when the latter is necessary .
Finally, according to a last characteristic of the invention, it is planned to use the door 5 giving access from the outside to the recess 6 of the lower part 2 of the support above the ground 3, to make the connection between the cable a descent on the one hand and an underground cable on the other; to do this, provision is made to secure one or more connection bars 31 to the back of the access door 5 so that the connection is always accessible from the outside when the door 5 is released from the barrel 1; in this way, in fact, the cables inside the support are automatically extracted and therefore allow intervention much easier.
According to another object of the invention, there will now be described a method of manufacturing a support for overhead lines of the type which has just been detailed, produced by pouring fresh concrete into a mold arranged in a practical manner. horizontally.
In accordance with FIG. 5, the mold consists of a mold base 35 which is a plane making it possible to obtain one of the two plane faces 24 of the support according to the invention. On this bottom 35 are positioned two rods 36, 37 which are normally identical and having a concave shape, mounted on a concavity edge opposite so as to subsequently obtain by casting, the two convex faces 15 and 16 of the support. Of course, the distance progressively reduced between the two rods 36 and 37 will determine the thickness of the support taken successively between its two curved sides 15,16. To create the trunk-prismatic recess 6 in the lower 2 and intermediate 4 parts of said support, a core 38 is inserted, centered on the axis 19, equidistant from the rods 36 and 37. Of course, this core 38 has a shape external determining the shape of the recess 6. To form the recess 13 of the upper part 7 of the support, and in accordance with FIG. 6, provision is made for placing a cylindrical plastic tube 39 between the nose 40 of the core 38 and the top 18 of the support serving as a lost core as already indicated; insofar as this plastic tube 39 is very flexible, because of its diameter, it is necessary to hold it in place in the mold before casting by a metal tube 41 fitted and centered on the nose 40 of the core 38 equipped with a centering element 42 (FIG. 6), on which the plastic tube 39 is threaded. It then suffices to pour through the upper opening 43 of the mold thus formed, the fresh concrete which may or may not be tinted, until complete filling mold; it then suffices to smooth the top of the mold with a tool of the trowel type pressing on the upper faces 44, 45 of the two rods 36, 37 to obtain the second flat face 24 of the support. After the concrete has dried, it is easy to remove the two domed rods 36, 37, the lower core 38, to dislodge and pull the metal tube 41 from the inside from the top of the support (on the right of FIG. 6). of plastic tube 39 embedded in the concrete of the support. Finally, it remains to cut the ends of the prestressed irons to obtain a support in accordance with the invention.
