Abstract

The barbecue has a metallic container (1) with a drawer (5) in its base. A removable tank (2) is held in a rectangular hole (11) in its upper wall (10) and has perforated lateral walls (20) and a base. Two vertical bars (12), on either side of the hole, have racks (13) to hold skewers. A horizontal bar (3) turns on the upper ends of the vertical bars and a horizontal grid is suspended from this by two metallic cables (31). The bar is turned by a handle (30) to turn the bar and adjust the height of the grid.

Description

 The present invention relates to a barbecue device of commercial or family type.

 Numerous types of barbecue device are already known, most of them comprising an ember tank on which is placed a grid capable of being adjusted in height.

 The barbecue devices all have the same drawback, namely the difficulty of lighting and maintaining the fire.

 To overcome this drawback, openings, which may be totally or partially closable, are generally made at the base of the ember tank in order to allow air circulation.

 However, the air circulation is only peripheral, and the heart of the hearth is not or little supplied.

 In addition, for most existing barbecue devices, the height of the grill is adjusted by means of lateral racks in the notches of which said grill is engaged, with the drawback that said adjustment during cooking requires complete disengagement. of said grid while it is hot, heavy and sometimes unbalanced.

 The present invention aims to provide a barbecue device to overcome these various drawbacks.

 The barbecue device according to the present invention is essentially characterized in that it comprises a metal container provided at its base with a drawer and into which is introduced, by an opening made in its upper wall, a removable ember tray consisting of the assembly of side walls and a perforated bottom, and resting on a frame extending horizontally above said drawer; and in that said container comprises, arranged on either side of said opening, two vertical uprights at the upper ends of which a horizontal bar can rotate, to which a horizontal grid is suspended by means of wire elements, the winding of which, or the unwinding, on said bar, allows the distance, or the approximation, of said grid of said ember tray.

 When the drawer is open, an air circulation is created in the container and, the ember tray being suspended, this air circulation is carried out all around and below said ember container, which facilitates the fire maintenance, especially as the air is heated in the container.

 The height of the grid is adjusted very precisely and easily by winding wire elements on the horizontal bar, which are preferably cables or chains.

 According to an additional characteristic of the device according to the invention, the vertical uprights are each provided with a rack allowing the fastening in various positions of a spindle.

 According to another additional characteristic of the device according to the invention, the walls and the bottom of the ember tank are expanded metal plates mounted on a metal frame.

 According to another additional characteristic of the device according to the invention, the ember tray has two vertical slides arranged opposite, one on each of the two longitudinal sides of said tray, in which a vertical partitioning wall of said tray can be slid.

 According to another additional characteristic of the device according to the invention, the front of the drawer has openings.

 The advantages and characteristics of the present invention will emerge more clearly from the description which follows and which refers to the appended drawing, which represents a non-limiting embodiment thereof.

 Referring to Figure 1 we can see that a barbecue device according to the invention comprises a container 1 of rectangular parallelepiped shape, in the upper wall 10 of which is formed a rectangular opening 11 intended to allow the introduction of an ember tank 2, the side walls 20 and the bottom 21, not visible in the figure, are made of expanded metal.

 The container 1 comprises, on either side of its opening 11, two vertical uprights 12 at the upper ends of which is fixed in rotation a bar 3 provided at one of its ends with a maneuvering crank 30, and to which two metal cables 31 are joined to which a grid 32 extending horizontally, vertical to the opening 11, is suspended.

 The uprights 12 each comprise a rack 13 whose notches 14 are intended to carry a spindle 4 provided with a crank 40.

 The spindle 4 can be immobilized in rotation in a given position by means of a pin, not shown, inserted simultaneously in a bore 15 which the racks 13 comprise near each of the notches 14, and in one of the holes 41 made peripherally in a disc 42 integral with the spindle 4.

 It will be noted that the cranks 30 and 40 can be removable and identical, so that this only requires one to operate either the bar 3 or the pin 4.

 The container 1 has at its base a drawer 5 intended for the recovery of the ashes, and allowing, when open, to create an air circulation inside the container 1 around and under the ember tray 2.

 The air circulation can be regulated by playing on the more or less large opening of the drawer 5.

 Note that the front 50 of the drawer 5 may have openings, not shown, allowing air circulation even when the drawer 5 is closed.

 The ember tray 2 internally has two vertical slides 22, only one of which is visible in the figure, intended for positioning a vertical wall 23, making it possible to compartmentalize the ember tray 2 for the purpose of limited use thereof. this.

 During limited use of the ember tray 2, the unused compartment can be used to keep empty dishes or plates warm, by introducing them into one or more baskets, not shown, suspended from the walls 20 of tray 2 by means of hooks.

 The container 1 also comprises two shelves 6, one on each of its short sides, foldable by means of hinges 60 and each maintained in the horizontal position by means of a vertical plate 61 foldable against the container 1 by the intermediate hinge 62.

 If we now refer to FIG. 2, we can see that the ember tank 2, shown in broken lines, rests on a metal frame 15 disposed above a housing 16 intended to receive the drawer 5.

 It can also be seen that the container 1 has internally two sleeves 17 intended to receive the vertical uprights 12, as well as four sleeves 18, only two of which are visible, each arranged at a corner of the container 1, intended to receive, slidingly with possibility of blocking, feet 19, visible in Figure 1.

 After use, the feet 19 are returned to the container 1 by sliding in the sleeves 18, the vertical uprights 12 are disengaged from the sleeves 17, the shelves 6 are folded and a cover 7, visible in FIG. 1, articulated on a longitudinal edge of the container 1 is brought down on the upper wall 10 of the latter, the assembly can then be transported by means of handles 8, only one of which is visible in FIG. 1.

 It goes without saying that the present invention cannot be limited to the preceding description of one of its embodiments, capable of undergoing a certain number of modifications without departing from the scope of the invention.
