Abstract

Procédé de production de silice très pure contenant moins de 5 ppm d'impuretés, à partir d'une solution aqueuse de silicate alcalin bon marché (verre soluble) à usage industriel qui contient ordinairement plus de 2 000 ppm d'impuretés, par addition directe du verre soluble à une solution d'un acide minéral tel que l'acide chlorhydrique, l'acide nitrique ou sulfurique, de manière que les impuretés du verre soluble se dissolvent dans la solution d'acide et qu'il se forme un précipité de silice, puis lavage de ce précipité avec une solution d'acide minéral, avec la condition qu'avant d'ajouter le verre soluble à la solution d'acide on règle sa viscosité entre 1 et 1 000 Pa.s.
