Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily produce SnO easily soluble in acid, having high purity, by adding chlorine compd. to an aq. acid soln. of stannous salt, the temp. of which is kept at a specified range and by treating at pH in a comparatively high specified range when SnO is produced from the aq. acid soln. of stannous salt. CONSTITUTION:The aq. acid soln. of stannous salt, as it is or diluted with water, is kept at 10-100 deg.C, and added with the chlorine compd. such as NH4Cl and further with an aq. alkali soln. while stirring to be regulated to pH9-11. The produced SnO is aged while keeping at the temp. and pH above-mentioned. Or, the SnO is separated and recovered, again dissolved in water, kept at 10-100 deg.C and added with the chlorine compd. while stirring, and then, the produced SnO is aged while keeping the temp. By this process, contamination of intermediate of SnO or hydroxide of tin can be possibly prevented and the SnO very easily soluble in acid, having high purity can be produced by the simple process.
