Abstract

The invention relates to a device of the collector/compacter type for removing refuse and waste. This device comprises a skip 1, a reception hopper 2 articulated on the skip and equipped on the inside with a shoe 10 associated with a deflector 21. A pair of synchronous jacks 18 is coupled between the hopper 2 and the shoe 10 itself arranged in order to entrain the deflector 21 in an opposite movement, so as to deploy their power, on the one hand as traction for a compacting operation with the shoe 10, and on the other hand as thrust for a second compacting operation with the deflector 21. The hopper 2 is raised automatically by the thrust of the skip 1 during tipping of the skip.
