Cette particularité permet à la machine de suivre les irrégularités du sol sans transmettre les mouvements correspondants au véhicule, et inversement. Ces possibilités de débattement sont illustrées sur les figures 5 et 6.

Claims (13)

  1. An apparatus for sweeping and collecting material comprising a chassis (2) mounted on wheels (3, 4) and provided with coupling means (5, 50, 61) to a towing or pushing vehicle, which chassis (2) carries a cylindrical rotary brush (1) whose horizontal axis (10) is perpendicular to the forward direction, which rotary brush (1) co-operates with a deflector system (20) to propel the swept material above the said brush and to the rear, towards a storage tray (22) that is mounted to pivot on the said carrying chassis (2), and whose rotary brush (1) comprises means for adjusting its position with respect to the ground, notably to enable adaptation of this position in relation to the wear of the brush bristles, characterised in that it comprises means for adjusting the position of the deflector system (20) which enable to suit its curvature in relation to the positioning of the rotary brush (1) and more particularly in relation to the evolution of the contours of the bristles of the said brush (1).
  2. An apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that it comprises a deflector system comprising a flexible sheet (20) attached at one of its ends to the carrying chassis (2), which sheet (20) is subject to the action of at least one adjustable pusher (24) that is integral with the said chassis (2) and which enables modification of its curvature around the bristles of the brush (1).
  3. An apparatus according to any one of claims 1 or 2, characterised in that it comprises means for adjusting the position of the rotary brush (1) with respect to the ground, having an intermediate frame (12) which carries the said brush (1) and which is mounted to pivot on the carrying chassis (2) around a horizontal axis (13), whereas the position of the said frame (12) with respect to the said carrying chassis (2) is fixed by adjustable linking means in the form of arms (16) swivelled on the said frame (12), whereas the said arm (16) slides in an orifice provided in the said chassis (2) and is provided with a plurality of orifices (18) suited to position a pin stopping against the said chassis (2), under the effect of the weight of the said frame (12) and of the said brush (1).
  4. An apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that it comprises coupling means (5, 50, 61) which enable the towing or pushing vehicle to raise the same, notably to ensure the emptying of the storage tray (22) by a pivoting manoeuvre of the said tray.
  5. An apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that it comprises a carrying chassis (2) in the form of a caisson covering and surrounding the rotary brush (1) and the storage tray (22).
  6. An apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that it comprises a carrying chassis (2) provided with wheels resting on the ground (3, 4) in front of and behind the rotary brush (1).
  7. An apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that it comprises a storage tray (22) subject to the action of two lateral hydraulic jacks (32) for manoeuvring around its pivoting axis (30), whereas the hydraulic engine (14) of the rotary brush (1) and the said hydraulic jacks (32) are power-supplied in parallel by a double-action hydraulic socket (42), whereas a return valve (45) is provided on the system belonging to the engine operating the brush (14) in order, in one operating mode, to enable rotation of the said brush (1) while actuating the said jacks (32) to bring the tray (22) in 'filling' position and, in the other operating mode, to enable motion of the said jacks (32) for emptying the tray (22), whereby the return valve (45) prevents the oil from driving the hydraulic engine (14) of the brush (1).
  8. An apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that it comprises a storage tray (22) comprising a mobile section (28) mounted to pivot on the carrying chassis (2), and a fixed section (29) integral with the said chassis (2), which fixed section (29) forms the front wall of the said tray (22), when the said tray is placed in a position for collecting the swept material.
  9. An apparatus according to claim 8, characterised in that it comprises a sheeting element (34) integral with the chassis (2) and on which rests the rear wall of the storage tray (22) when the said is placed in a position for collecting the swept material.
  10. An apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that it comprises a skirt (25) made of flexible material, that extends the chassis (2) to the ground, at the front of the rotary brush (1) and on its sides, whereas the said skirt (25) is associated with a flap (26) made of rigid material, swivelled between the latter and the said rotary brush (1).
  11. An apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the linking device (5, 50, 61) with the coupling system of the towing vehicle is mounted to pivot on the carrying chassis (2).
  12. An apparatus according to claim 11, characterised in that it comprises a linking device (5, 50, 61) integral with the carrying chassis (2) via pins (55, 56) that co-operate with oversized ports (57, 58).
  13. An apparatus according to claim 12, characterised in that it comprises a linking device (50) provided with upper and lower fastening points, whereas the lower fastening point(s) is(are) made of a pin (55) co-operating with a vertical oblong port (57) provided on the carrying chassis (2), to allow a certain freedom of movement along the height of the said pin (55) and whereas the upper fastening point(s) is(are) made of a pin (56) co-operating with a square or rectangular port (58) provided on the carrying chassis (2), to allow a certain freedom of movement around the said pin (56) in height and in forward/rearward tipping.
