Description

Tipper for collecting and transporting a load of household waste type.
The present invention relates to a bucket for collecting and transporting a load of the household waste type.
It relates more particularly to a skip for collecting and transporting waste, associated in particular with a vehicle or a trailer and which is provided with a device for compacting said waste so as to reduce the latter and to load a maximum of waste in a minimum of volume.
We already know, in particular from French patent application FR-A-2 759 988 filed on February 27, 1997 by the present applicant, in which there is described a bucket of the type described above which is provided with a movable gland shield under the action of a jack intended to compact the waste, the latter being provided in its upper part with a flap composed of a transverse beam secured to two parallel arms pivoting under the action of a jack so as to compress waste towards the bottom.
This type of compacting device is satisfactory; however, for light waste, for example of the plastic bottle type, it turns out that the latter, during the phases in particular of loading the waste, collected beforehand in containers, in the bucket or even during compaction outside the bucket thus causing the operator to manually collect all this evacuated waste.
The object of the present invention is to remedy the drawback mentioned above.
For this purpose, the present invention relates to a bucket for the collection and transport of a load of the household waste type, consisting of a bottom, two side walls, a front wall, a rear door forming receptacle, and a roof covering the major rear part of said receptacle so as to provide an opening in the front part of the bucket for loading the load, said bucket being provided with a substantially vertical wall movable in the bottom of that -ci under the action of a jack, characterized in that it comprises a device for compacting the load in particular towards the bottom which is constituted by a first flap articulated around a transverse axis located in the upper part of said movable vertical wall and of a second flap articulated around a transverse axis located at the upstream end of the roof to the right of the opening, these flaps being suitable for pivot around their respective axis between a first open position for loading the load and a second closed position for compacting said load under the respective action of at least one jack, and in that said flaps are shaped so that in the open position they form a hopper for loading the load.

The chassis 2 carries at the rear, in a known manner, a bucket 5 consisting of a bottom 6, two side walls 7, a front wall 8, a rear door 9 together forming a receptacle, and a roof 10 covering the major rear part of said receptacle, as more clearly visible in Figure 1, so as to provide an opening 1 1 in the front part of the bucket 5 for loading waste or load.
The bucket 5 is arranged on a cradle 12 and articulated in its rear part thereto, about a transverse axis 13, so as to allow the tilting of the bucket 5 around this axis 13 under the action of a cylinder 14, during the emptying phases of the bucket.
The cradle 12 is held on the chassis 2 by means of a fitting 15 which will be described in more detail in the following description.
This chassis 2 also comprises, in a known manner, between the cabin 3 and the bucket 5 a lifting means 16, of the crane type, of the various containers 17 or waste collection column.
The bucket 5 is provided with a substantially vertical wall 18, designated in the following description of the gland shield, which is movable in the bottom 6 thereof under the action of the jack 14. This gland shield 18 is extended longitudinally towards the rear door 9, in its lower part symmetrically with respect to a median longitudinal axis by a tunnel 19 in which the jack 14 is housed, as more clearly visible in FIG. 1. The jack 14 is, in a conventional manner, constituted by a body 20 fixed at one of these ends around a joint 21 secured to the cradle 12 and a rod 22 whose free end of the latter is fixed at tunnel 14.
It will be noted that at the right of this tunnel 19 in the gland shield position 18 pushed against the front wall 8, the bottom of the bucket is provided with an opening 23 so as to allow the passage and the deflections of the jack 14.
The downstream end 24 of the tunnel 19, considering FIG. 1, is guided by a beam 25 having for example the general shape of a "I" which is arranged longitudinally along the median axis of said bucket, in the rear part on the bottom of the latter.
Locking means 30 for selecting either the displacement of the gland shield 1 8 longitudinally in the bucket or a dump body, as shown in Figure 7, are arranged in front of the bucket.
These locking means 30 consist of latches 31, 32 respectively intended to engage in orifices 3 1a, 32a produced in yokes, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, which are movable transversely under the action of a control lever 33 so as to lock either the front of the bucket with the cradle by engaging the latches 31 (FIG. 5) or the gland shield 18 with the bucket by engaging the latches 32 (FIG. 6).
Selon la présente invention, la benne 5 comporte un dispositif de compactage 40 de la charge en direction notamment du fond 6.According to the present invention, the bucket 5 comprises a device 40 for compacting the load in the direction in particular of the bottom 6.
Ce dispositif de compactage 40 est constitué d'un premier voletThis compacting device 40 consists of a first flap
41 articulé autour d'un axe transversal 42 situé dans la partie supérieure du bouclier fouloir 1 8 et d'un second volet 43 articulé autour d'un axe transversal 44 solidaire de l' extrémité amont 45 du toit 10 au droit de l' ouverture 1 1 .41 articulated around a transverse axis 42 located in the upper part of the gland shield 1 8 and a second flap 43 articulated around a transverse axis 44 secured to the upstream end 45 of the roof 10 to the right of the opening 1 1.
These flaps 41 and 43 are able to pivot about their axis 42,
Each of these flaps 41, 43 are shaped so that in the open position the latter form a hopper for loading the load so as to guide the flow of waste in the bucket.
Le premier volet 41 est avantageusement constitué d'une paroi transversale 44 ayant l'une de ses extrémités articulée autour de l'axeThe first flap 41 advantageously consists of a transverse wall 44 having one of its ends articulated around the axis
42 et l'autre de ses extrémités qui est rabattue vers l'extérieur suivant un angle d'environ 30 degrés de façon à obtenir deux faces 50, 5 1 de compactage des déchets, lorsque ce volet 41 se trouve en position de fermeture, comme visible sur la figure 4.42 and the other of its ends which is folded outwards at an angle of approximately 30 degrees so as to obtain two faces 50, 5 1 for compacting the waste, when this flap 41 is in the closed position, as can be seen in FIG. 4.
This first flap 41 is controlled by means of two jacks 52, 53 arranged longitudinally relative to the bucket. Each of these jacks 52, 53 consists of a body connected to the upper part of the gland shield 18 and of a rod connected to the folded end of the transverse wall 44.
Le premier volet 41 est également pourvu au voisinage de l'articulation 42 d'un clapet 60 -ou volet- articulé de façon libre autour d'un axe transversal 60a parallèle à l'axe d'articulation 42.The first flap 41 is also provided in the vicinity of the articulation 42 with a valve 60 - or flap - articulated freely around a transverse axis 60a parallel to the articulation axis 42.
This valve 60 extends vertically towards the bottom of the bucket in the open position of the first flap 41 and is intended to be pushed towards the front of the bucket by the waste so as to obstruct the space 62 formed between the hinge of the flap 41 and the gland shield 18 in order to avoid the waste being raised by said space 62 on the top of the flap during in particular a phase of compacting its waste.
The second flap 43 comprises a first element 54 consisting of a transverse wall and a second element 55 also consisting of a transverse wall articulated around an axis A parallel to the axis 44 of the first element 54 and able to be foldable on the latter 54.
This first element 54 is mounted articulated around the transverse axis 44 and is able to move around this axis by means of two jacks 56 arranged on either side of the bucket, as visible in FIG. 8, and each having the end of the body of the jack fixed to a side wall and the rod of the jack connected to one of the side edges of the first element 54.
It will be noted that the second element is also able to take a first open position relative to the first element 54 and a second closed position in which the first and the second element are folded over one another, as visible on the FIGS. 3 and 4, for example by means of jacks 57 arranged, as visible in FIGS. 1 to 8, between the two elements 54, 55. The operation of the compacting device of the present invention will now be described in relation to FIGS. 1 to 7.
When collecting waste, by the vehicle shown in Figure 1, the operator chooses beforehand according to the size and shape of the container that he must unload in the bucket 5, to open the two flaps 41 and 43 at most as visible in FIG. 1 or at least leaving the second flap 43 in the closed position and placing the second element 55 of this second flap 43 in the open position, as visible in FIG. 2, thus providing with the first flap 41 a hopper so as to guide the flow of waste in the bottom of the bucket.
Then, via the lifting means 16 the operator lifts the container so as to present it at the opening 1 1 of the bucket. The opening of the container can be controlled by bringing, as shown in the embodiment described, a lever 70 integral with said container in contact with the end for example of the first flap 41, thus releasing the waste collected in the bucket 5.
The opening of flaps 41, 43 or 41, 55 in the form of a hopper advantageously makes it possible to avoid sending waste outside the bucket, the latter being guided and retained by the compaction flaps.
The container is then rested on the ground, by means of the lifting device 16. The operator by means of the control lever 33 locks the front of the bucket with the cradle, introducing the latches 3 1 into the holes 3 1 a , then controls the closing of the compaction flaps, as shown in Figure 3.
A compaction cycle of the waste intended to reduce the volume of the latter, is then carried out by controlling the movement of the gland shield 1 8 by means of the jack 14 by longitudinal reciprocating movements in said bucket 5. During this displacement the waste comes into contact with the valve 60 thus pushing the latter towards the gland shield 1 8 and consequently obstructing the space 62. It will advantageously be noted that rollers 71 are provided at the end of the folded-down part of the first flap 41 so as to allow it to slide under the second flap 43.
In addition, advantageously, it can be provided at the opposite end of the articulation 44 of the first element 54 of the second flap 43 of the spurs 72 so as to retain the compacted waste.
During this compacting operation, we understand all the advantage of the shape of the first flap 41 which has two compacting faces 50, 5 1 thus making it possible to push the waste backwards and towards the bottom 6.
Cette barre 80 est immobilisée en position transversale au moyen par exemple d'un crochet 100, comme visible à la figure 8.Advantageously, a removable or articulated transverse bar 80 about a vertical axis 81 secured to one of the side walls 7 is disposed substantially in the middle part of the bucket 5, so as to limit the return of the compacted waste towards the before the latter, in particular for waste of the plastic bottle type which has a strong elastic characteristic. This bar 80 is immobilized in transverse position by means, for example, of a hook 100, as visible in FIG. 8.
When the bucket 5 is filled, the operator can go to a waste treatment area, where he will have to empty the contents of the bucket.
Cette opération est réalisée en verrouillant le bouclier fouloirThis operation is carried out by locking the gland shield
1 8 avec la benne 5 au moyen du levier de commande 33 engageant ainsi les verrous 32 dans les orifices 32a, comme représenté à la figure 6.1 8 with the bucket 5 by means of the control lever 33 thus engaging the latches 32 in the orifices 32a, as shown in FIG. 6.
The operator opens the rear door 9 of the bucket 5 and controls the actuation of the jack 14, thereby causing the bucket 5 to pivot about the axis 13, as shown in FIG. 7. During this operation, the bar 80 is free to be able to pivot around its axis 81 thus allowing the release of the waste, so that in the final phase this bar is found along the side wall 7 of the bucket 5.
There is shown in Figures 9 to 12, a second embodiment of the waste compacting device, in order to simplify the description, the identical elements of the first embodiment will be designated by the same reference numerals.
A la différence du premier mode de réalisation, le second volet de compactage 43 a la forme générale d'un triangle quelconque T en section longitudinale définissant ainsi deux parois transversales 84,Unlike the first embodiment, the second compacting flap 43 has the general shape of any triangle T in longitudinal section, thus defining two transverse walls 84,
85 qui se rejoignent à une extrémité jointive 83 formant le sommet du triangle, c'est-à-dire l'extrémité libre du volet.85 which meet at a contiguous end 83 forming the top of the triangle, that is to say the free end of the flap.
The opposite end to the joining end 83 of one of these walls 84 is articulated around the transverse axis 44 while the end of the other wall 85 is connected at least to the rod of at least one jack 87.
De préférence, la paroi 85 du second volet 43 est reliée à deux vérins 87 disposés de manière symétrique par rapport à l'axe longitudinal la benne 5 , comme représenté sur la figure 12.Preferably, the wall 85 of the second flap 43 is connected to two jacks 87 arranged symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the bucket 5, as shown in FIG. 12.
Ce second volet 43 est apte à prendre trois positions, respectivement d'ouverture (figure 9), de fermeture (figure 10) et d'ouverture réduite (figure 1 1 ).This second flap 43 is able to take three positions, respectively opening (Figure 9), closing (Figure 10) and reduced opening (Figure 1 1).
The first compaction flap 41 may include perforations 90, shown in FIG. 12, allowing the operator to control the height of the waste in the bucket 5 or the emptying of the container.
According to a variant, the gland shield 18 has openings 91 allowing the passage of longitudinal bars 92 fixed on the one hand to the bar 80 and on the other side to the front wall 8 of the bucket by means, for example, of pins 93 These bars associated with the bar 80 advantageously make it possible to place the container so as to open the latter. In the downstream part of the bar 80, considering FIG. 10, non-return bars 94 longitudinal of the waste are hingedly connected at one of their ends around a transverse axis 95 integral with the bar 80. These non-return bars 94 are intended to be lifted under the action of the waste introduced, until their contacts abut against the roof.
The non-return bars 94 can advantageously be replaced by a transverse flap articulated around a transverse axis secured to the side walls 7 of the bucket. This flap is thus able to pivot under the action of the waste between at least two stops 99, shown in silhouette in FIG. 10, integral with the walls 7.
It will be noted that the jack 14, unlike the first embodiment, can be connected to the bottom 6 of the bucket and disposed substantially horizontally inside the latter as visible in FIG. 10.
Avantageusement, selon la variante décrite ci-dessus, un vérin télescopique, non représenté, est disposé sensiblement verticalement entre le fond de la benne et le berceau 12 ou châssis du véhicule de manière à réaliser le basculement de la benne autour de l'axe 13.Advantageously, according to the variant described above, a telescopic jack, not shown, is arranged substantially vertically between the bottom of the bucket and the cradle 12 or chassis of the vehicle so as to tilt the bucket around the axis 13 .
This embodiment thus makes it possible to move the gland shield 18 in the bucket and consequently the first compaction flap 41 during a tipping or tilting operation.
There is shown in Figures 13 and 14, a variant of fixing the front of the bucket with the cradle 12, in which the fitting 1 5 the bucket consists of a pivot joint allowing vertical angular deflections of the following bucket an angle α. This fixing of the bucket 5 advantageously allows a tortuous flexibility of the bucket.
It is understood from reading the description above of the two embodiments that the present invention makes it possible to adapt to all kinds of household waste and all types of containers.
In addition, by this waste compacting device according to the present invention, the bucket can accommodate a larger volume of waste, and allows to compact it very quickly, by simple and reliable means.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments which have been described; one could on the contrary conceive various variants without departing from the scope of the invention. Thus, for example, the bucket can be mounted on a trailer or a vehicle.
