Description
L'invention concerne des pièces ayant une résistance élevée à l'usure, pour machines et dispositifs, en particulier pour des mélangeurs et des broyeurs, dans lesquels leur application est possible et utile. Les domaines d'application de l'invention sont l'industrie de la céramique, la métallurgie et la construction mécanique. L'application de l'invention peut également avoir lieu en milieu corrosif.
On connaRt des éléments broyeurs et des tam- bours de broyage en métal dur, acier, porcelaine, silex, agate, matière plastique et titane. En raison de leur usure, ils n'assurent pas un traitement exempt de pollution des matieres à broyer, ne présentent qu'une faible capacité de broyage, et/ou leur mode de préparation les rend coûteux.
On connatt également des billes de broyeur en un matériau à base de titane et oxygène, soit jusqu'à 97 % en poids de TiO2 et une matière jouant le rôle de plastifiant et de liant, par exemple des bentonites ou de l'éther de cellulose (A. Palatzky, Techn. Keramik, VEB Verlag Technique, Berlin, 1954). Le défaut de ce matériau, c'est qu'en raison de sa faible résistance à l'usure, les pièces que l'on en fabrique doivent être souvent échangées, et le supplément de broyage abaisse considérablement l'aptitude à l'usinage du matériau broyé, et restreint le domaine d'application des objets qui en sont fabriqués. Les éléments broyeurs constitués par le matériau mentionné imposent, en raison de leur densité relative 3 ment faible de 4 g/cm , une durée de broyage relativement élevée.Par addition de composés du plomb en proportions allant de 2 à 10 % en poids, au Ti 02 en poudre, on a réussi à doubler pratiquement la résistance à l'abrasion de billes de broyage de ce type (DE PS 1 072 179) ; mais l'usure reste encore relativement élevée, et le passage du plomb dans la matière broyée pose d'autres problèmes.
L'invention a pour objectif de prolonger la durée d'action de pièces soumises à l'usure, ainsi que l'élimination dans une grande mesure des suppléments de broyage nuisibles, et l'abaissement de la durée de broyage dans l'industrie de la céramique et la métallurgie.
L'invention s'est fixée pour but de proposer des éléments ayant une surface à résistance élevée à l'abrasion, tout en gardant les propriétés du corps de base.
A cet effet, l'invention propose des éléments constitués par un corps de base, muni d'une couche superficielle en titane ou en alliage à base de titane, contenant de 0,5 à 15 % atomiques d'oxygène et 0,03 - 7,5 % atomiques d'azote dissous. I1 est préférable d'employer une teneur de 2 à 10 % d'oxygène et 1 à 6 % d'azote, et un rapport oxygène azote de 2 : 1. I1 peut être opportun de ne pas revêtir toute la surface mais seulement les endroits fortement soumis à l'usure.
Le corps de base portant la couche constituée selon l'invention garde ses propriétés intactes comme support de revêtement. Le corps de base sera de préférence également constitué de titane ou d'alliage à base de titane.
Conformément à l'invention, on produit les éléments à résistance élevée à l'abrasion de telle façon, que l'on dépose sur le corps de base une couche de titane ou d'alliage à base de titane, et on le soumet à une calcination à température comprise entre 450 et 1600 C, d'une période de heure à 100 heures, dans une atmosphère contenant en tout 1-50 ppm d'oxygène et d'azote. Pour les corps de base en titane, il n'est pas nécessaire de procéder à un revêtement avant la calcination ; pour certains alliages à base de Ti, cela peut être utile.Comme matériau à résistance élevée à l'usure pour éléments broyeurs cylindriques, on emploie du titane avec 6 % atomiques d'oxygène dissous et 3 % atomique d'azote dissous.
Par rapport à des éléments broyeurs connus à base de Tin2, la durée d'action est prolongée de 20 fois, et la période de broyage nécessaire est raccourcie de 20 %. Par rapport à des billes en agate, pour une résistance à l'usure identique, la durée de broyage est raccourcie de 5 à 8 fois et le cotit est nettement inférieur.
Claims (6)
10) Eléments à résistance élevée à l'usure, en particulier pour mélangeurs et broyeurs, caractérisés en ce qu'ils sont constitués par un corps de base, muni d'une couche superficielle, en titane ou en alliage à base de Ti, et alliée à 0,05 à 15 % atomiques d'oxygène et 0,03 à 7,5 % atomiques d'azote dissous.
20) Eléments selon la revendication 1, caractérisés en ce que la surface est un alliage à 2- 10 % atomiques d'oxygène et 1-6 % atomiques d'azote.
30) Eléments selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisés en ce que la surface superficielle en alliage comporte un rapport de l'oxygène à l'azote de 2 : 1.
40) Eléments selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisés en ce que seuls certains endroits de la surface, soumis à l'usure, comportent un alliage selon l'invention.
50) Eléments selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisés en ce que le corps de base est en titane ou en alliage à base de titane.
60) Procédé pour la préparation d'éléments à résistance élevée à l'usure, caractérisé en ce que le corps de base est reveAtu d'une couche en titane ou en alliage à base de titane, et calciné dans une zone de températures de 450 à 16000C, durant une période de h heure à 100 heures, dans une atmosphère contenant au total 1 à 50 ppm d'oxygène et d'azote.
