Abstract
Un panneau d'affichage électroluminescent 10 est constitué par une matrice de cinq par sept éléments luminescents discrets. Ce panneau comprend essentiellement un substrat de verre 12 qui porte une grille d'électrodes interdigitées 16, 18 elles-mêmes recouvertes par une couche électroluminescente 20 en sulfure de manganèse. Une couche isolante 22 et des métallisations d'électrodes et de connexion complètent la structure. Le panneau ne nécessite qu'un très petit nombre de connexions externes pour une matrice comprenant un grand nombre d'éléments électroluminescents.
