Abstract

Procédé de préparation de mono- et de poly-isocyanates organiques ayant la formule générale R(NCO)n dans laquelle R est un radical aliphatique, cycloaliphatique, aromatique ou hétérocyclique éventuellement substitué, n est un nombre entier de 1 à 3, obtenus par décomposition thermite d'une urée trisubstituée ayant la formule genérale R(NHCONR'R'') n dans laquelle R et R'' qui sont identiques ou différents désignent un radical d'hydrocarbure aliphatique éventuellement substitué contenant 1 à 4 atomes de carbone. On utilise comme produit de départ un produit d'addition d'urées trisubstituées et de l'acide chlorhydrique contenant au moins la quantité stoechiométrique et au plus un excès de 10 molécules % d'acide chlorhydrique, et on effectue la décomposition thermique du mélange réactionnel fondu, en présence d'un solvant organique inerte, dans une enceinte fermée, à une température de 0 à 180 degrés C.
